Church Street is in a funny little pocket between fraternity houses, apartments and quiet residential streets. The homeowners wanted a place where they could cook, have people over and watch football.
We built pretty much everything here down to the last nail. We framed the outdoor kitchen and roof structure, built the fire feature, finished the kitchen and fireplace in stucco, painted everything and installed the doors, appliances and pizza oven. We figured out the plumbing, gas and electrical needs and worked with local Athens trades to install them.
We planted an herb garden close to the kitchen because they both really like to cook.
Athens on a Saturday in the fall is hard to beat. It’s particularly nice to see them use this one.
