DRUID HILLS
Atlanta, Georgia
Druid Hills was for a couple I really enjoyed working with. They like good design, and Denise is a tremendously talented builder and artist herself, so they were willing to let us go pretty far with this one.
The patio is made from long strips of concrete with grass running between them. We built a board-formed concrete fire pit in the middle and retaining walls to hold the slope.
They wanted the planting to feel almost tropical, so we used palms, grasses and other big, loose plants around all that geometry.
I really like this garden. The geometry of it is probably my favorite part.
