FIELD NOTES

FOUND PAVING
Lullwater · Atlanta
2026
A small interruption in a formal bluestone terrace — hand-cut rays, handprints, and the mark of whoever made it.
Pollinator plant. Atlanta. Summer 2026.

MASONRY
Atlanta
2026
“I hope the meadow we planted eventually consumes the steps we built, until they’re hard to see.”
A lot of days, brick is my favorite hardscape material. Some days it isn’t.

BRICK ARCH
Athens

We do all of our own welding.

WELDING
North Druid Hills
2025
One of my favorite small spaces we’ve done.

FIREPLACE + PATIO
Northside Drive · Atlanta
2025
Design is so simple, that’s why it is so complicated.
Paul Rand
Built from found brick and stone, winding through native perennials, grasses and mountain mint. We wanted it to feel like the path had been there longer than the house.
Still my favorite front walk we’ve built.

FRONT PATH
ORMEWOOD PARK · ATLANTA
2024
Part two-car parking, part covered patio. Metal roof, open timber framing and black hardware pulled from the house.
My attempt at a carport that picks up on the Asian influence of the house and the modern bungalow language around East Atlanta.

GINKGO
VIRGINIA-HIGHLAND · ATLANTA
Sometimes the biggest part of the garden is already there.
